Course Description
Ever since N. Lang stated that as a profession, we are witnessing a “Tsunami of Peri-implantitis” in 2005, we have been searching for answers. However, we also have failed to discover the necessary questions. What are the entities of Peri-Implant Mucocitis & Peri-Implantitis? How do these disease processes arise & are there precipitating factors? The greatest question is perhaps, how do we treat these effected implants in a predictable & approachable manner or does such a therapy actually exist?
Educational Objectives

- Assess various risk factors associated with this disease entity/these disease entities.
- Describe multiple therapeutic modalities which have been proposed in the treatment of peri-implant diseases.
