How to train a TMJ surgeon: A perspective.

Dr. Ron Aronovich specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult Oral & Maxillofacial conditions. He has specialized experience in the use of prosthetic total joint for jaw joint (TMJ) reconstruction for complex conditions of the jaw including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, ankylosis, and ablative defects of the jaw.
Dr. Aronovich has been involved in global outreach programs serving children with conditions such as cleft lip and palate in India, China, and most recently Mexico, where he has partnered with Smiles International Foundation.
Dr. Aronovich is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association, the American Society of TMJ Surgeons, the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the C.J. Lyons Academy, and the Michigan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Aronovich obtained his dental degree from McGill University and underwent residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of Saint Raphael/Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Aronovich is an associate professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan, and serves as TMJ surgery fellowship director.
