Yasmi O Crystal, DMD, MSc is the founder and senior specialist at Comprehensive Pediatric Dentistry in New Jersey where she has been in private practice for over 30 years. Concurrently she is Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry and she is on the medical staff of the Robert Wood Johnson, Rutgers University Hospital.
SPEAKERS
Amal Ali, DDS, MPH is a Dental Public Health consultant for the Government of Somaliland in East Africa. Dr Ali supports the National Health Professions Commission (NHPC) with dental regulation and the Ministry of Health Development in designing and planning national oral health strategies.
Graham Craig AM, MDS, PhD, FRACDS is currently a scientific advisor. He was formerly Associate Professor in Preventive Dentistry at the University of Sydney and, after that, Director of the Dental Health Foundation – Australia.
Jeremy Horst Keeper DDS, PhD is the director of clinical innovation at CareQuest Innovation Partners, an organization whose mission is to improve oral health for all by advancing innovation to transform oral health access and outcomes for underserved populations across the US.
Rich Krone is a managing member of Elevate Oral Care, a company focused on developing preventive oral care products for use by professionals and consumers.
Gustavo Molina, BDS DDS PhD is Clinical Practitioner in Cariology at the Faculty of Dentistry, Hong Kong University (HKU). Prior to his position at HKU, Dr. Molina was professor in Dental Material Sciences at Dental School Universidad Católica de Córdoba and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
Course Description
Many may not know that Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is virtually unavailable in many countries! This conundrum is discussed from many angles so attendees interested in getting it into their country will understand more about this challenge. In addition, alternatives to SDF that can be used now will be reviewed as well as products currently in development and trials that will be able to address the same issues.
Educational Objectives
- Learn about specific global SDF manufacturing and distribution issues and how they might be overcome.
- Be updated on current alternatives as well as those in clinical trials at this time.
