More Odds and Ends in Orthodontics

Dr. Coby is Co-Clinical Director and Clinical Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Penn where he proudly has been on faculty for over thirty years. He also serves as Guest Lecturer for the Harvard orthodontic program. He reviews clinical and didactic curriculum including biomaterials, biomechanics, and interdisciplinary treatment with a particular focus on helping residents prepare for the board examination process.
Dr. Coby is Board Certified and has served as Guest Examiner for the ABO. He has provided content contribution and review for both the written and case-based scenario board examinations. Dr. Coby is in private practice in several South-Eastern Pennsylvania locations and has lectured internationally on a number of orthodontic topics.
He and his wife and two daughters live on a farm in Quakertown along with horses, dogs, cats, goats, and a herd of llamas.

Course Description
Dr. Coby will touch upon several different topics and techniques. The intent is to maximize the participant's exposure to different concepts, hints and tips that can be applied to the clinical practice of orthodontics. Some of the areas of interest will include orthognathic surgery case management, impacted second molars, addressing a patient’s chief complaint, and the concept of “tongue thrust swallow”.
Educational Objectives
- By the end of the presentation, the participant will hopefully have a better understanding of the clinical applications reviewed and have some new tools for their toolbox.
