Course Description
The burden of dental disease largely affects underserved individuals including racial/ethnic minorities, children, pregnant women and individuals of low socioeconomic status. Lack of access to dental services explains the oral health disparities that exist in communities with limited resources. Oral health integration programs exist under the umbrella of FQHC services and are an effective means of improving oral health outcomes by increasing access to care.
