Dr. Linda J. Edgar, the 160th President of the American Dental Association and its 5th female president, joined the ADA in 1992. She served in the House of Delegates (2005-18) and as the Eleventh District Trustee (2018-22).
She's engaged with various dental organizations including the Washington State Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, where she was president (2013-14). She led the Seattle King County Dental Society in 2010-11.
Dr. Edgar earned her DDS at the Univ. of Wash. after 15 years of teaching. For 30 years, Dr. Edgar practiced privately with her husband, Dr. Bryan Edgar.
Before dentistry, Dr. Edgar was a world-class marathon runner, completing over 45 marathons and setting a 2:43 record in the Seattle Marathon, and participated in the first Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials. She's completed two Ironman races.
Now retired, Dr. Edgar volunteers in organizations offering education and access to veterans and the underserved. She has an adopted son, David, a Captain for Alaska Airlines, and two granddaughters.

Course Description
In this course, ADA President Dr. Linda Edgar will share leadership learnings from her personal and professional journey, along with an update on the latest happenings at the ADA.
