Management of Dental Patients with Seizure Disorders

Dr. Burch is a full-time Clinical Associate Professor, Director of the Advanced General Dentistry Fellowship in Special Care Dentistry and Chief of Community & Hospital Dentistry at Texas A&M School of Dentistry (TAMSOD). His research and intervention topics include access to care, oral health policy and clinical training. Roughly $17 million in research and clinical interventions have been successfully funded by Health Resources and Services Administration, the Hillcrest Foundation and the Crystal Charity Ball Foundation.
Dr. Burch received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry; he completed his postgraduate endodontic training at Howard University College of Dentistry. He earned a master’s degree in Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and one in biology from Fisk University. Additionally, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Burch is the founder of the Special Care Dentistry Fellowship at TAMSOD and a co-founder of the General Practice Residency (GPR) program, which is being established at TAMSOD.
