A Step by Step Approach: Treatment of "Gummy Smile"

Prof. Muhamed Ajanovic defended his master's thesis at the Faculty of Dentistry in Sarajevo in 2006, and his doctoral dissertation in 2008. He completed his specialization in dental prosthetics in 2008. He obtained the title of primarius in 2014. In 2003, he was employed at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Sarajevo as an assistant in the field of dental prosthetics, after which he was elected to the position of: senior assistant, assistant professor, associate professor. He was elected full professor in 2016. Prof. Muhamed Ajanovic is the author of numerous professional and scientific works in domestic and foreign indexed and recognized professional and scientific journals,as well as textbooks, participant in numerous domestic and international conferences. He participated in several master study programs and courses in the field of dental implantology. Prof. Muhamed Ajanović is currently the dean of the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of dentistry with dental clinical center for the second consecutive term.

Course Description
A gummy smile or excessive display of gingiva is a common feature among the population that affects smile aesthetics and self-esteem.The focus of this presentation will be to uncover the most common etiologies associated with EGD and propose therapeutic strategies specific to each clinical scenario.
