NPAW - Augmented and Virtual Reality and Its Applications

Dr. Srivastava is a dual Board-Certified Prosthodontist by the American Board of Prosthodontics and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. She works as a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist at the U. of Illinois Health Craniofacial Center, Chicago, and provides care to children and adults with reconstructive needs, including congenital deformities, head and neck cancer, craniofacial trauma, and other acquired orofacial conditions. She specializes in Craniofacial Implants and Prosthetic Rehabilitation, utilizing state-of-the art digital technologies to enhance her patient’s oral rehabilitation outcomes. She lectures nationally and internationally and has over 60 published abstracts, books, book chapters and manuscripts.

Course Description
Craniofacial reconstruction is experiencing significant progress through the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies. This lecture will provide attendees with an understanding of extended reality technologies and how to apply them in maxillofacial prosthetics and implant-based rehabilitation. We will explore real patient applications of immersive surgical simulations and discuss how these innovative technologies are poised to transform education, treatment planning, and prosthetic procedures.
