Course Description
This year’s conference will feature an exciting and impactful program focused on the integration of oral and systemic health, workforce expansion, value-based care, artificial intelligence, and fluoride science and advocacy. Over two days, attendees will engage in expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, research presentations, and networking opportunities, all designed to advance the science and practice of Cariology.
Educational Objectives
- Explore the interconnection of oral and systemic health, focusing on saliva-based diagnostics and integrating caries and health screenings in practice.
- Highlight innovative workforce models and interprofessional collaboration to expand access to preventive caries care.
- Examine how value-based care and advocacy can drive systemic change to support prevention-focused dental reimbursement and access.
- Investigate the role of AI in enhancing caries risk assessment, diagnosis, patient engagement, and clinical decision-making.
- Review current evidence on fluoride’s benefits and challenges and discuss community strategies to combat hesitancy and misinformation.
- Address key gaps and future directions in cariology education to better prepare the next generation of dental professionals.
