Treatment Planning & Biological Principles of Perio Prosthetic Therapy in the Aesthetic Zone

Dimitar Filtchev, DMD, PhD obtained his degree in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Sofia, in 1998. In 2000 he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at the same Faculty and from 2015 is elected as an Associated Professor at the same department. In 2003 he acquired a postgraduate specialization in Prosthetic Dentistry. In 2013 he presented his thesis and got a PhD degree. From 2007-2015 he was president of the Sofia Dental Meeting Association and co-founder of the Implant Dental Center at the Medical University in Sofia. He specialized in Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry – Munster, Germany and graduated from the two-year Master program of Professir Zucchelli at the University in Bologna- Soft tissue management around teeth and implants. He is an honorary member of Style Italiano Group , the Bulgarian Society of Esthetic Dentistry, Bulgarian Scientific Dental Association,an affiliate of the EAED, and an Instructor at the Zimmer Institute.
Since 1998 he has been running a successful private practice in Sofia, focused on Implantology, Esthetic and Digital Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Filtchev has more then 60 publications in scientific journals, many scientific presentations, numerous participations as a keynote speaker at national and international congresses such as the Implant Days at the NYU, AEEDC Dubai, ICOI, DGZI and many others. He is winner of the prize for “Best Clinical Poster Presentation” at the AAED 2019 Meeting.

Course Description
This lecture will also demonstrate the ways of adding a submarginal connective tissue graft in sites with thin peri-implant tissues, which diminishes the bone loss, to levels not different from the thick soft tissue sites.
