Dr. Harold Baumgarten received his DMD degree and certificates in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the former Director of the Dental Implant Research Center at Penn and is currently a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Clinical Director of the Periodontal Prosthesis program at Penn Dental Medicine. He lectures extensively both nationally and internationally and has authored a number of articles on the subjects of dental implants and restorative dentistry.

Course Description
This course will address the issues that are important to consider to achieve immediate & long-term aesthetic implant restorations on a consistently predictable basis. With new paradigm shifts away from single or two stage surgical protocols to immediate implant placement & provisional restorations, biomechanical requirements & aesthetic demands must also change.
